Ta Da! One small step for my Education, one giant leap for lil' miss first year. That's right folks I have completed my first year of university! Exciting stuff indeed, no homework, no tests, no exams, and no assignments. Unfortunately that also means I am not 'forced' to do art several hours a week. Having classes and graded work is really great for forcing art into one's schedule. Never before have I been able to justify art as being a priority over studying for exams, and I must say it was quite lovely to be working on final projects between exams.
But alas, those time have passed and this season requires of me to work full time. Work has now replaced painting on my hierarchy of must-dos. Weekends and evenings are still free to paint which is good fun, and thought I will continue to I miss painting for hours days on end I should be able to get a good bunch of painting done. I will be working on two large commission pieces this summer and by the end of the summer start painting some of my own ideas... and then eventually once again accept more commissions. That's the plan, let us see how it goes.
I am a first year student double majoring in Fine Arts as well as Environment and Resource Studies. I live on a family farm in the country. I love new socks, the first chill fall night when you break out your duvet, and racing deer on our country side road. Along with art I am passionate about my faith, investing in the people I love, all things nature, solid well planned pranks, and racing (cross country and triathlons).
